Objects Design

This series of vases was individually handcrafted by Jameel and KHIRY Studio to house paper flowe installations by other St. Germain collaborator Zoe Bradley. The vases' bright colors and KHIRY Moving Together Silhouettes lent the pieces a sense of joy characteristic of the salon environment, while the pieces' individual hand-crafted feel aligned with the brand's rejection of mass production in favor of extremely limited and artisan processes.

Print Design Process

I began the print design process with a selection of flowers curated for the event by the brand. To emphasize handcraft, I sketched each by hand in Procreate using a joyful illustrative style, in pastel tones.

I also constructed several 3D Models using Nomad Sculpt, to bring in a touch of KHIRY's signature polished gold. Referring to the garden and floral theme, I used abstracted forms of songbirds and bees as an accent that fit naturally into the floral theme

I then laid the elements out into several compositions for the brand's review, in Procreate, and exported them to Illustrator to vectorize them.

Object Design + Fabrication

The object design process began with a Nomad Sculpt Model, allowing me to indicate a general shape, demonstrate texture and the color range of the series. The pieces were fabricated by hand, including model making, painting, and hand finished gold leaf.
