A self-portrait series shot to run alongside a conversation for Akili King's Texture Diaries Series
Story
Texture Diaries profiles Black people across industries to reflect on their journeys to self-love, and how accepting their hair, in all its glory, played a pivotal role in this process.
Goal
My goal was to share and publicize my personal evolution from exclusively a jewelry designer, into a multi-disciplinary artist.

Outcomes
Sculpture commission from the 15 Percent Pledge and a later Vogue.com article announcing KHIRY Studio as an incubator for my artistic work, evidence the achievement of the series' objectives
